2020 My FM Woman of Influence Recognition

2020 has proven to be a difficult year. In the midst of a global pandemic, outcry for racial and social justice and economic instability, people often seek solace in their leaders.

Alethia O’Hara-Stephenson has become one of those leaders in Shelburne as she now chairs the town’s Anti-Black Racism and Discrimination Task Force.

But championing diversity and uplifting voices isn’t anything new for the MBA grad, O’Hara Stephenson is very involved in her community.

She says through her work with the Youth Council at Centre Dufferin District High School, she’s amazed at the passion and dedication of local young leaders.

O’Hara-Stephenson hopes to further set an example for young women to be brave, bold and chase after their passions.

O’Hara-Stephenson’s interview with myFMreporter, Mirna Trogrlic can be heard below.
